About Hawaii EV

Hawaii EV Association is a chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association, a volunteer, non-proft organization that was established in 1967 to increase the adoption of electric vehicles. We are one of 80 national chapters that educate the public about the many benefits of electric cars. Through our advocacy efforts - education campaigns, grassroots ‘talk-story’ events, ride and drives, and one-on-one coaching - we aim to help Hawaii’s residents make the leap to fossil-fuel-free transportation.

We support the build-out of the infrastructure - grid capacity, renewable energy, and charging stations - that is necessary for a more rapid transition to clean transportation. We collaborate with the public and private sector to encourage investment in electric vehicle charging stations.

We are passionate about the environment and believe that the transition to clean transportation is a means to effect a meaningful reduction in our state’s pollution and a path to a sustainable and livable world for future generations.
