Hilo DEED 2023 Vendor/Presenter Information

This is the floor plan for the Hilo DEED 2023 event.

  • WHEN: Saturday, April 29, 10 AM – 2 PM

  • WHERE: Edith Kanaka’Ole Tennis Stadium, 350 Kalanikoa St, Hilo

Setting Up

The facility will be opened at 7 AM for vendor/vehicle set up within the stadium.

Vehicles will enter through the entrance ramp on the Hamakua (Civic Center) entrance of the building.

Vendors and booth owners can enter through the main entrance.

Booths

Booths must be set up by 930 at the latest. Feel free to bring your tables and chairs. The county will have wooden tables and metal folding chairs available for our use. They have 20 tables and 50 chairs available. You’ll need to retrieve them from a storage area (and replace them after the event).

Canopies can be installed. If your canopy has bare metal feet, please set them on a piece of cardboard to protect the floor. A couple of layers of duct tape will also work.

Booths lined up against the wall can have banners installed on the railing behind each booth.

Cars

Dealers and EV owners will be able to bring vehicles into the facility starting at 7AM. We would like all vehicles to be in place by 930 AM at the latest. Please ensure that your vehicles are washed and that tire shine is not freshly applied as this will make the floor slippery.

EV owners who are not intending to stay through 2 PM, can park their vehicles in the area fronting the stadium. The areas in blue in the diagram are designated parking areas for display vehicles.

Venue Images

The floor will be covered with a heavy tarp. All tables will be against the wall so presenters can attach flyers to the railings. Bring tape, bungees, or ties.

Bleachers along the length of the stadium (both sides) as well as those on the Hamakua end of the building will be blocked off to minimize clean up effort.

Bleachers by the entrance will be open to the public.
