About Hawaii EV

Hawaii EV is a non-profit organization helping Hawaii transition to sustainable transportation. We are the Hawaii chapter of the Electric Vehicle Association.

Since 2012, we’ve been working to enable clean transportation through clubs across each major island. Our advocacy efforts—education campaigns, grassroots ‘talk-story’ events, ride-and-drives, and one-on-one coaching—help Hawaii’s residents make the leap to a fossil-fuel-free transportation system.

We support the build-out of the infrastructure—grid capacity, renewable energy, and charging stations—necessary for a more rapid transition to clean transportation. We collaborate with the public and private sectors to encourage investment in electric vehicle charging stations.

We recognize and embrace the importance of changing our transportation habits. This involves enabling diverse transportation modes, right-sizing vehicles, and connecting the dots between our transportation decisions and our pocketbooks and environment.

We are passionate about the environment and believe that the transition to clean transportation is a means to meaningfully reduce our emissions and create a path to a sustainable and livable world for future generations.
