Drive Electric Earth Day - Hawaii Island

Join Hawaii EV, Big Island EV, and Hawaii County for an electric Earth Day celebration. This event will be held at the Hawaii County Building on 25 Aupuni St, Hilo.

Big Island EV owners will be on hand to share their electric cars and their experiences with the public. We expect to have a wide range of EVs - from sports cars to the latest coupes, and many in between. Sorry - no trucks yet. :-)

The County will also have its Proterra electric bus making rounds around the block and will offer rides so everyone can experience the latest in the County's mass transit fleet.

Here’s the event map. Green spaces are reserved for electric cars. Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Big Island EV, Sustainable Energy Hawaii, and Hawaii Community College will have booths at the event.

Register for a chance to win a $250 Visa gift card at DEED Hawaii Island.

This Drive Electric Earth Day (DEED) event is part of a month-long celebration of the electric vehicle. It is one of many nationwide. DEED national sponsors include Plug In America, Electric Vehicle Association, Sierra Club, and EVHYBRIDNOIRE.
