National Drive Electric Month 2025 with Oahu EV

The Hawaii EV Association and Tesla Hawaii Club, in partnership with Drive Electric Hawaii and Ulupono Initiative, hosted a special event on September 13 at Pearlridge Center to celebrate National Drive Electric Month. The community gathering aimed to highlight the many advantages of electric vehicles (EVs), including environmental benefits and lower operating costs.  Attendees had the chance to get up close with a wide range of EVs, chat with current owners, and explore educational booths.

The event inside the mall featured informational booths and a vehicle display at Center Court. Outside in the parking lot was the "Electric Avenue" car show, where more than 20 EV owners showcased their vehicles and shared their personal experiences.

A crowd favorite was the opportunity to see and test-drive a custom-built Nissan Frontier truck EV conversion.

All Tesla models were showcased, as well as a Rivian R1T, Mini Cooper EV, Nissan Leaf, BMW electric motorcycle, and BMW I4.

Mahalo to all who participated and to our partners, Drive Electric Hawaii and Ulupono Initiative, for making this a successful community event.

Here are scenes from the event.

This event was part of National Drive Electric Week, an annual celebration presented by Plug In America, the Electric Vehicle Association, the Sierra Club, EVHybridNoire, and Drive Electric USA.
