Noel Morin - President

Noel is a Silicon Valley product management veteran and a Hawaii Island resident since 2004. He is a climate action advocate and a supporter of sustainable transportation and renewable energy. He wears a number of hats, all related to climate action and resiliency. He is also Big Island EV Association and Tesla Hawaii Club leader.

Noel powers his home and electric vehicles (cars and riding mower) with solar energy. He's been driving electric since 2011.

Nanette Vinton - Treasurer

Nanette is a long-time EV owner and solar energy user. She is the Founder and President of the Tesla Hawaii Club which was established in 2013 and is part of the global Tesla Owners Club program.

While her career path stems from the commercial real estate industry, her experience with the Tesla Hawaii community has led her to an increased awareness and passion for promoting sustainable transportation throughout the state.

Sonja Kass - Director

Sonja Kass is an engineer and a long-time Kauai resident. She is passionate about the transition to renewable energies and about sustainable transportation.

Sonja has been driving exclusively electric since 2014 and the familyʻs home and cars are powered by their solar PV system.

Sonja is one of the founding members and current president of KauaiEV.

Rob Weltman - Director

Rob is a retired software engineer living in South Maui. He is the founder of the Maui Nui EV Association and a board member of Maui's Climate Action Advisory Committee and the Kihei Community Association, as well as a long-time activist for renewable energy in Hawai‘i on behalf of Sierra Club.

 

Tam Hunt - Director

Tam Hunt is a renewable energy lawyer based near Hilo. He graduated from UCLA School of Law in 2001 and has devoted his career exclusively to green energy. He has worked for various nonprofit and private clients in California and other states.

Since moving to Hawaii full-time in 2016 he has devoted significant pro bono and volunteer hours to help make the Big Island more green and resilient. He is an avid runner and tennis player.
